Blue Tooth and Bread

Filed under: Uncategorized — urbandumpsterdiver @ 1:11 pm

Behind a big office store found the following in the trash bag, 1 new bluetooth, 1 pair of computer speakers,  several electronic odds and ends, paper, pens, staplers and one little purse I can carry my cell phone and ID. It was too cool.

Then on my next store found tons and tons of bread. Went to several parking lots in stores around my area to pass out. Once again people are VERY apprehensive at being approached. I could see it if I looked like some male gang banger, but I’m not. I’m one of the kindest nicest women you’ve ever met. But then again everyone is suspicious and hurting of anyone who is nice to them.

I enjoy helping people and will continue to do so.

  1. I’ve always wanted to do this and your website inspired me to go for it. It’s a horrible feeling to find clothes shredded when you see the faces of the people who need the stuff in your head. I have pulled out lots though not shredded and found good homes for it.

  2. Good on you Ryan. Got out too late tonight to dive. I actually did something fun and by the time I got out it was too late – too many cops out. Thank you for reading my blog and please come by and visit and comment often.

  3. I didn’t realize how late it got…got home at 2 am…I’m not a night owl, I’ll have to get out early am. Less hassle at that time too but going on a week night will be tough, I share a car and get it most weekends.

Now I just have to find a good seamstress to fix up a few of the clothes I did salvage that were shredded a bit. I have 3 jackets worth 250 a piece that can be made into 2. I plan to wear one and the other, I’ll give away to a family I know that could use it. I have 3 pairs of new work boots that were slashed in one section of the leather. I’m sure a cobbler can replace the leather panel for cheap.

  4. Ryan – I’d take a picture of the jackets you want to put back together and put an ad on Craig’s List for a seamstress. There are plenty of women and men out there who are good people who would be more than happy to repair that for you at a cheap price. That way they can see the jackets and give you an accurate quote to fix them. I wouldn’t take them to the dry cleaners where they have an alterations person – they’re too expensive.
